Life Story for
Helen Elizabeth Hill entered into eternal heavenly rest on Thursday, April 26, 2018, after ninety-three years of her sojourn on this earth. Helen Elizabeth Hill was born in Alberta, Virginia, on January 23, 1925, to the late Herman and Corrine (Thrarrinton) Hill. Miss Helen resided in Rutherford, New Jersey for many years. She was a former member of the John Westley Methodist Church of East Rutherford and a devoted mother to her only son, the late Howard Hill; she was also a devoted grandmother to three granddaughters and one grandson.
For a number of years, Helen worked on an assembly line at Bendix, located in Teaneck, New Jersey. She was also employed by Lucent Technologies. Her final employment, before retirement, was as a luncheon aide for the Rutherford Board of Education. Ms. Hill lived the last twenty years of her life at the Daughters of Miriam, located in Clifton, New Jersey where she was very popular, loved, and respected.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her dear niece, Mary Tooley of Passaic; dear nephew, William Tooley of Florida; beloved niece, Adorn Washington of Passaic; beloved nephew, Kenny Young of Paterson; many other nieces and nephews in the Passaic County and Bergen County areas; a huge host of grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Helen Elizabeth Hill will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
